Specular Hematite, also known as specularite is a form of iron ore from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
These specimens have been cut and polished and then coated with an glossy resin to give the specimens an "always wet" look. These are great, affordable pieces for rock lovers and collectors. An acrylic stand is included to allow you to display the piece as soon as you receive it.
The pieces pictured are examples of the piece you will receive. The one we select for you will be of similar size and quality. The pieces will measure between 1.75-2" by 2.5"x3" and weigh about 5-7oz.
