Orthoceras fossil tower — a freestanding cephalopod specimen from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, featuring the preserved shells of ancient squid-like creatures embedded in polished black marble matrix. These remarkable animals lived over 400 million years ago, making each tower a genuine piece of prehistoric Earth history.
The orthoceras shells are preserved as white calcite against the deep black marble, creating a striking natural contrast that makes this as much a conversation piece as it is a fossil specimen. Each tower stands approximately 7–9" tall, 3–5" wide, and weighs around 2–3 lbs — substantial enough to display proudly on a shelf, desk, or bookcase.
Orthoceras fossils are believed to promote grounding, balance, and confidence, and are associated with the root chakra — making this a meaningful gift for crystal and fossil enthusiasts alike.
The towers pictured are representative examples of what you will receive. We hand-select each specimen to match the size and quality shown in the photos. Due to the natural variation of these fossils, no two pieces are exactly alike.
