As part of the Chalcedony family, agate stones typically have stripes and have many eye markings or specks of color on them. They also lend themselves to being dyed quite easily, often with stunning results.

These are natural agates that have been cut to have a flat bottom so they can stand on their own without a stand. As can be seen in the photos, the fronts of these pieces have been highly polished and really transmit the light nicely.
