Ulexite gets its nickname of "TV stone" for its ability to transmit images, like the printing in my business card and ruler in the listing photos, from the backside to the front side looking like an old fashioned tube TV screen.
Ulexite, (pronounced You Lex Ite),are primarily from Boron California.
These specimens range measure approximately 0.5-0.75"x0.75-1.25" and weigh about 10-15g each. They have been cut and lightly polished to best display their "transmission" nature.
Ulexite stones can dissolve slowly in water so keep them dry.
