Tall Orthoceras fossil tower, large fossil cephalopod

Tall Orthoceras tower specimen from Morocco, with a flat bottom so it will stand on its own. There are several fossils clearly visible in this piece!

As seen in these pictures, Orthoceras fossils are often found in a black limestone matrix, with the soft tissues of the ancient squid-like creature replaced with calcite.

The one pictured is exactly the specimen you will receive. It is about 13.5” tall and weighs about 6.0 lbs!
