Small Orthoceras fossil rock with stand

Small Orthoceras specimen from Morocco with an acrylic stand. A must have for a fossils collector!

As seen in these pictures, Orthoceras fossils are often found in a black limestone matrix, with the soft tissues of the ancient squid-like animal replaced with calcite.

The ones pictured are examples of the specimen you will receive. Upon receiving your order, we will select a specimen of similar size as those seen in these photos. As you can see in the photos, there are a variety of sizes and shapes to these pieces, but the will all have at least two Orthoceras specimens carved out.
