Small black ammonite fossil pair in acrylic stands

Two halves of a whole black ammonite that has been cut in half and highly polished. Like many ammonites, the chambers are filled with calcite. This unique fossil has turned black, very different than the more commonly found brown specimens.

Acrylic stands seen in the pictures are included to allow the specimen to be displayed as soon as it is received. This specimen would be a great addition to a fossil lover's collection. It could also be a great addition to a rock lover's collection. These fossils are also popular choices for collectors of nautical artifacts.
