Amethyst point with wire basket to hold an tillandsia air plant. An artificial air plant is included with the purchase, though may not be the exact plant in the picture. There are great Etsy sellers of air plants if you need one for this specimen. You'll also likely be able to find them at your local garden center.

The wire basket used to hold the air plant is made from a soft, pliable metal so it can be reshaped to accommodate your air plant as it gets larger.

*** Shipping to US addresses included in the price ***

Air plants do well in a wide range of temps, from the 50s to the 90s. Just be aware that the hotter and drier the air, the more often they’ll require water.

Amethyst is a well known mineral and gemstone. It is the purple variety of the mineral Quartz, and its most valuable and prized variety. Its name derives from the Greek "amethystos", which means "not drunken", as Amethyst in antiquity was thought to ward off drunkenness.

Metaphysically, Amethyst is a very powerful and protective crystal, and is a first choice of many metaphysicians. Amethyst was used in ancient times to recover from both physical addictions as well as addictive relationships, and became known as the “Stone of Sobriety”. A natural stress reliever, Amethyst can encourage inner strength.

The strong healing energy of Amethyst can transmute lower vibrations to higher frequencies, transforming negative energy to love energy.

Amethyst connects the physical plane with higher realm, making it a good choice when working with the Third Eye Chakra. Amethyst also provides a wonderful peaceful energy for meditations, and helps with developing intuition and psychic abilities.

Amethyst opens and activates the Crown Chakra as well, allowing easier access to the divine. Amethyst enhances spiritual awareness and spiritual wisdom, promoting a higher state of consciousness. Amethyst clears and repairs holes in the aura and draws in Divine energy, as well as aligning and fostering cooperation between the energy bodies.

Physically, Amethyst can help to alleviate headaches and migraines. It dispels nightmares and helps with insomnia. Amethyst can also reduce eyestrain, especially when working at a computer.
